Acrecent Financial Corporation (“Acrecent”) is a privately held company engaged in the financing and leasing of commercial equipment and factoring of commercial accounts receivable in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Acrecent was established in July 2003 by James Connor and Raul Cacho – two highly experienced executives from the commercial leasing and lending industries.

Acrecent has the capacity to complete and fund multimillion dollar transactions thanks to its strong capitalization and strategic alliances with commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions and accounts receivable funding sources in the United States and abroad.

Acrecent is a member of the Equipment Leasing Finance Association in the United States and is licensed by the Commissioner of Financial Institutions in Puerto Rico.

Management

  • James P. Connor is co-founder and CEO of the Company. He has over 16 years of experience in the commercial finance industry, 9 of which were with GE Capital, where he last held the position of President and Region Manager of the Puerto Rico & Caribbean operation. Mr. Connor managed 45 employees, led his team to building and servicing a commercial/corporate finance portfolio of over $1 billion in assets and 7,000 accounts and was also responsible for establishing and managing GE’s leasing operation in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Connor has a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Science degree from Purdue University.

  • Raul H. Cacho is co-founder and President of the Company. He has over 20 years of experience in the commercial banking industry, of which 12 were with Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where he last held the position of Vice-President and Manager of the Structured Finance Division. Mr. Cacho was also a member of Banco Popular’s Executive Credit Committee and Senior Administrative Committee, and managed all of the lending operations of the bank's corporate banking office in New York. Mr. Cacho managed over 30 bankers, and led his team in building a commercial/corporate finance portfolio of over $1 billion in assets. Mr. Cacho has a Bachelors of Science degree from Babson College with a double major in Finance and Quantitative Methods.
